Little Dude is 4 Years Old!!

Miles oh Miles…my little dude. My buddy. Happy 4th Birthday love. Every year I think that your Birthday is the hardest for me, but this one has truly been the most difficult. No more babies, no more toddlers, just big kids and little people. Some days I wish that you could stay little forever, you were squishy, chunky, had the best belly laugh, you snuggled, cuddled, and loved so hard. Now you are lean, strong, and fast…but you still laugh so hard you get hiccups, I will still squish those cheeks until you kick me out, you still cuddle, snuggle, and give me love. You even assure me, “Mama, I always be your baby, right? You always want me to be your baby right? Even when I’m big, I be your baby.” That right there assures me that you are right where you need to be, not staying little forever. That right there shows me that you are growing into an amazing, sweet, caring, and loving little boy.
Don’t get me wrong, you are still all boy. You love superheros, swords, “shooters”, and dinosaurs. You like to wrestle and play rough. You like to take Payton’s toys and turn them into weapons, you drive her bananas on purpose, and you definitely know how to push all of her buttons. So maybe the next year could hold a little less of that?? Maybe?
3 was a good year. I’m going to miss my little 3 year old. I’m going to miss you saying you are “three half”. But I for sure can’t wait to see what 4 has in store for you.
I love you little dude, to infinity and beyond, to the moon and back, times a million trillion, and with whip cream and a cherry on top.
Happy Birthday sweet boy.

About JulesJ

We have grown from a family of three to four! I am a full time wife and Mommy, and a part time Registered Nurse in a busy Medical Cardiac ICU. My hubby works at Microsoft...that is what brought us to Seattle. We have the most adorable little girl...born October of 2011. Plus we have a new little bundle of joy in our life, our little prince was born February of 2014. We live in Issaquah, WA, about 20 minutes east of Seattle...though we are true Texans at heart. I am just trying to capture those every day moments so we will have memories to last a lifetime.
