Miles is officially 1-year-old, he is a toddler, a baby no more…and I just can’t wrap my head around it. I think it is a bit harder to swallow this time around knowing there won’t be another pregnant belly or brand new bitty baby in our house. I was hoping he would stay tiny as long as possible, but always measuring in the 98 percentile…he apparently had other plans. We had a fun little family birthday followed by a fun little construction themed party with close friends…both were perfect. Happy first birthday little dude, I love you more than you will ever know.
The last month:
–He is walking!!
–He purposefully shakes his head “no” and points to every single thing that he wants.
–He will tell you animal sounds for a bee, bear, lion, dog, and sheep. He says “boo” during peek-a-boo.
–Sleeps ~12 hours at night with a ~2 hour nap.
–Has 7 teeth…4 on the top and 3 on the bottom.
–He hates his car seat and really really really hates the stroller.
–He is such a picky eater now! It feels like he hates everything. Likes: wheat bread, yogurt, humus, guacamole, oatmeal, chicken: pureed/shredded/nuggets, raisins, and Cheerios.
–Nicknames: little dude, chubber, destructor.
–His eye color? We have NO idea! Sometimes dark blue, sometimes blue-gray, sometimes dark blue w/ brown tint, sometimes hazel. It’s crazy, they always look different!
–Was sick for the first time this month: adenovirus, then 2 weeks later: double pink-eye, and now a yucky cold.
–He LOVES peek a boo, reading books, tickles, snuggles, hugs and kisses, and wrestling with Payton.
–He loves helping clean up and putting things back into their bucket/bag.
Special thanks to Brandy for the banners! Leslie for all the wonderful help! Bae Bae Cakes for the construction themed cake! and Let’s Play in Sammamish for such a cute facility!!
