Things a 3 year old might say…

We were listening to Payton’s current favorite song “Uptown Funk” and I started singing…
P: Mom don’t sing!
Me…keeps singing
P: Mom don’t sing, just sing another time!!  He sings better! <pointing to Bruno Mars>

On one of many nights Payton was up from 11pm-5am…yay…at around  3am Payton is yet again standing at my bedside…
Me: Payton…goooo toooo bed! You are going to be so cranky tomorrow!
P: <big smile and as perky as can be> YUP!
Me: <laughing and possibly crying> I’m begging you, go to sleep!
P: It’s ok Mommy, I took a good nap. Ok now, it’s morning time, les get dressed!
<puts Payton back in bed>  …30 mins later at my bedside again
P: Lets go Mommy, what we got planned today?
Me: Payton are you fully dressed?!  Nooooo!
…wearing new undies, leggings, dress, and shoes…ahhhhh!

Byron and Payton were talking about who is bigger and smaller than each other.
Byron: I think I am bigger than you kiddo.
P: Well when I was a kid I was bigger, laster day!

P: <yelling> Mom!!!  Dad!!!
Byron: Yes Payton?
P: No Dad, I said Mom first!  Mom only!

Payton and Miles were taking a bath together…
P: What is that Mama?!  <pointing to a naked Miles and his manhood>
Me: Oh, that is where Miles goes pee pee from.
P: Ohhh, it looks like a donut.  Is that why Daddy likes donuts so much?!

P: “Mama color with me! Mama color with me! Mama color with me! Mama mama mama mama coooollloooorrrrrr with meeeeeeee! Mama color with me! Color with me! Color with me! Mamaaaaaaa color with me!
So I color…for 5 seconds…
P: Maaaaamaaaaaaa don’t colllllllor theeeeere! …followed by screaming crying tantrum on the ground.

About JulesJ

We have grown from a family of three to four! I am a full time wife and Mommy, and a part time Registered Nurse in a busy Medical Cardiac ICU. My hubby works at Microsoft...that is what brought us to Seattle. We have the most adorable little girl...born October of 2011. Plus we have a new little bundle of joy in our life, our little prince was born February of 2014. We live in Issaquah, WA, about 20 minutes east of Seattle...though we are true Texans at heart. I am just trying to capture those every day moments so we will have memories to last a lifetime.
