Last week went by super fast…I worked 4 out of the 7 days so Payton and I crammed a lot of good stuff into those 3 days we had together. Night shift is definitely taking its toll on me, it is really hard to be a night person while also having to be a day person. Though I can’t complain because I have a job, I love what I do (most of the time!), and I get to spend a lot of time with my punkin without having to use much childcare. Some of the highlights of our week:
So we haven’t finished baby-proofing the kitchen yet and PJ looooves to open the drawers. So we finally followed the advice of my Mom and gave PJ her own drawer. So now 90% of the time the only drawer she cares about is her own and when we are missing something, say the remote control, I know to look in her drawer because she tends to put everything in there!

Payton does a short class at the local Children’s Museum once a week….she hated the finger-painting with shaving cream, couldn’t have cared less about gluing cotton balls onto a sheep picture, was ‘meh’ about play-doh…but loved playing with the little fuzzy balls!

So after she HATED the finger-painting in class, the next day I thought we would try finger paints again to see if she would do any better. I defrosted a little cool whip and mixed in some food coloring…and then we got started. She had fun for about 5 minutes until she realized how sticky it was on her hands and then…it.was.over. She HATES sticky stuff on her hands! But at least she enjoyed it for a few minutes.
Just cool whip and food coloring…mix and you are ready to paint! Oh…and a side of Cheerios to snack on! =)

And finally by the time Friday rolled around…the sun came out to play! It was mighty chilly out but…no rain! Sun! So we bundled up and headed off to the park.
